The new Moana Skies Astronomy Centre is open from midday to 7pm daily (except Tuesdays) from Friday 12th December 2025 at 8 Beach Road.
To celebrate this massive milestone, the Moana Skies team offering free Solar Tours all day on opening day to learn about the Sun through the specialist solar telescopes.
Moana Skies are proud to announce a new partnership with Astronz, giving Kaikōura access to some of the best telescopes, binoculars, and astronomy equipment in New Zealand — all available to explore and purchase right here in store. Perfect for beginners, hobbyists, or anyone wanting to start their own backyard astronomy journey.
