Stargazing signs have been installed at six specific locations. Designed to help raise awareness and enjoyment of our amazing Southern skies across the whole of the Kaikōura district.
Use the QR code on the sign to take you directly to the ‘Enjoy Our Night Sky’ page of our website where we’ve shared our favourite spots, our top tips on stargazing and a self-guided video so you’re best prepared for an enhanced evening experience. Keen astronomers can use the monthly night sky information downloads and recommendations on charts and apps.

Please note that this is not an opportunity to stay the night at these locations, just to enjoy the night sky before returning to your place of resident or a designated camping location after stargazing.
