Telescope Stargazing Evening

As as part of International Dark Sky Week come along and discover the splendours of the Kaikōura night sky on Tuesday 25th April (NEW DATE)

The Kaikōura Dark Sky Trust invite you and your whanau to join us for the first of our 2023 series of free community stargazing evenings. We’ll have some fantastic telescopes and camera equipment set up to help you explore deeper into the universe. The evening is kindly supported by the Omaka Observatory.

Time: Come anytime from 7pm until late.

Where: Kaikōura Lookout, 274 Scarborough Street.

Top Tips: Dress warm!! Coat, hat, gloves etc. We highly recommend checking out our stargazing tips section before you come for the best experience on the night.

Weather: If the weather is looking poor we will postpone to the Saturday night. Keep a eye on our facebook page for updates.
