Community Stargazing Evening

Come along and discover the splendours of the Kaikōura night sky on Friday 25th August 2023.

The Kaikōura Dark Sky Trust invite you and your whanau to join us for a free community stargazing evening from Hapuku School. Due to the incredible support of Destination Kaikōura and the Kaikōura Lions we now have a fantastic eVscope and two touch pads which you can use to control the telescope to view objects of specific interest in the night sky. This is a very interactive experience!

Time: Come anytime from 7pm until late.

Where: Hapuku School, 596 Kincaid Road, Hapuku

Top Tips: Dress warm!! Coat, hat, gloves etc. We highly recommend checking out our stargazing tips section before you come for the best experience on the night.

Weather: If the weather is looking poor we will postpone to the Saturday night. Keep a eye on our facebook page for updates.
